I sort of do that too - even though there might be things I know about people through online stuff, sometimes when I see them in person (esp. those I haven't seen in a long time) I'll still ask them about all those things even though I might technically know about it.. maybe it's that I want to hear it from them in person to get a more real sense of what it is.

this is a totally off topic comment- this post and the last one (on singing) doesn't show up on your home page. it only shows up when I go into your april archives. at first I saw it on my rss feeds thinking maybe it was some private post or something, but it's public, so it's strange that it's not on your home page, unless you've purposely set these posts to not show up on the home page.
I've had mornings where I can clearly get out of bed but I don't and sleep in more. And sometimes I know it's cause I want to avoid what I need to do that day, or maybe the feeling of feeling lost with how to best use my time that day.

God has given you gifts, Silas. Music and worship is definetly one of them. Whether this becomes your "full-time" job or not, use your gifts with all your heart!

I think it's good - the vest makes it 5/5! Cause it adds dimension and a balancing contrast to your bright colours.

dude. congee goes like this:
1) take 2 tbsp of rice and rinse with water (pour out water)
2) add 1 tsp of sesame oil and a dash of salt - let it sit for at least 10 min
3) bring a pot of water to a rapid boil - i.e. definitely boiling - I'd say about 4-5 cups of water
4) stir in the rice mixture, and keep stirring the rice and boiling water for 3-5 min
5) reduce heat to medium [note: the trick to congee is to keep the mixture boiling to prevent any sticking to the pot]
6) boil for at least 30 min, stirring occasionally

if you want to make chicken congee for example, add shredded ginger and sliced chicken when you add the rice into the water. using chicken stock as part of the liquid makes an even tastier congee.
