On project
Wednesday, May 13th, 2009I’m here in Waterloo and wow I’m exhausted at the end of each day. I’m managing a design team of 5 students who are very different, and sometimes I feel like I’ve been run over by a truck after each day. Why? I’ve never really managed a group of people doing design before. In the past I’ve just done my own thing, and I never had to ask the deep questions to get people to think about design, branding, and marketing. Now it’s necessary and I feel underqualified. Maybe I am. But somehow God has put me here and now I get to trust him for everything I need each day.
Ok so being run over by a truck might be too strong of an analogy. I’m pretty tired though. Some other factors that might contribute: I’ve been jogging almost every evening (even for just about 2 km, but still jogging nonetheless). I am around people and being social absolutely ALL DAY. I’m sleeping in an environment I’m not familiar with. I haven’t been eating amazingly healthy because thinking about food kind of goes on the backburner when dealing with all of these issues.
